Bush-enabler and PNACer David Frum comes to the realization that he and his fellow orks are going down:

Perhaps it is our job at NRO is tell our readers only what they want to hear, without much regard to whether it is true. Perhaps it is our duty just to keep smiling and to insist that everything is dandy – that John McCain’s economic policies make sense, that his selection of Sarah Palin was an act of statesmanship, that she herself is the second coming of Anna Schwartz, and that nobody but an over-educated snob would ever suggest otherwise.

Who knows? Perhaps if I do that enthusiastically enough, somebody somewhere might even pour me a free drink or invite me onto the airwaves for a 3 minute Monday morning sunrise interview. And after all: What else could I possibly want?

Frum is an atavistic, vicious little fuck who deserves to be dragged from his home and beaten to a pulp with the bones of his victims.  He, along with Perle, Bolton, Wolfowitz, and others, is responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands and the destruction of our economy.  Sadly, he will never pay the price for his crimes.

Item: McCain showed up in Miami at an immigration event cosponsored by… ACORN.

Something about this blowback story gives me pause. The event was also, supposedly, hosted by the SEIU and People for the American Way (according to a similar posting by Fellow Traveller No. 1, Kos). I seriously doubt that PG would show up at an event so crawling with SOCIALISM that the hors d’oeuvres were unionized. So, like Gen. Turgidson, I smell a big, fat commie rat. But, if this is even close to being true? Well.. back to the drawing board, Geezerplex.

Mark Foley’s replacement is on the hook for (a) an affair, (b) a bad break-up and (c) $121k to the mistress in return for her silence.

Quick: take a wild guess at who wrote this in a Minnesoda paper:

He also revealed the predatory practices of credit counseling agencies that take advantage of folks trying to dig their way out of debt. This effort ultimately strengthened efforts by the IRS to combat these abuses.

Yet, despite the long record of PSI successes, some partisan critics assert that he should have focused the subcommittee’s attention exclusively on Iraq. They are wrong.

If you answered Sen. Joseph Lieberman (??-Conn.), c’mon down! [BTW: “Partisan critic” = the damned Democratic nominee — Him… Al Franken.]

Seriously: Joe has had his coffee, and two slices of cake. Could somebody in the Democratic Party wish him a good night and safe trip home? Please?

It looks innocent enough, but if you’re anything like me you’re going to push it, plug in your nightmare scenario and start hyperventilating.

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), one of McCain’s closest allies, said on CBS’ “Face the Nation” that the Arizona senator was weighing a plan “along the lines that now is the time to lower tax rates for investors — capital gains tax, dividend tax rates — to make sure that we can get the economy jump-started.”…

Graham said the campaign would discuss a plan Sunday, and he expected McCain to offer “a very comprehensive approach to jump-start the economy by allowing capital to be formed easier in America by lowering taxes.”
