“Flyers Aim To Keep Black Philadelphians From Polls”

Well, they have been doing good in the preseason, so why can’t the Broad Street Bullies branch out and do some vote rigging?

Politico reports that John McCain is bagging his Michigan campaign. No TV, no mail-drops, staffers off to Wisconsin / Ohio / Florida.

(This does not mean that Barry can take Michigan for granted. There will still be a ground game because local Republicans can’t move to Wisconsin / Ohio / Florida, and the 527s are hitting Obama-as-Kilpatrick. Still: damn.)

And so: here’s the Palin Zapruder Film, in which she can’t name a Supreme Court case besides Roe v Wade.

Now, the first time you watch it, it may seem not nearly as bad as has been reported. The build-up made it seem like it would be shocking. And it isn’t — we know she isn’t the sharpest tool in the shed, and this is but one more example of it.

But watch it a couple of times. The impression is unavoidable — she is completely and utterly lost.

Anyway: discuss.

NSFW alert: 23-6 reports that Sarah Palin look-a-likes are being sought for opportunities in the motion picture industry.  Oh.

Craigslist.  Wondrous source of comedy you are.

Tomorrow’s gonna be a busy day.  The long awaited “silence” interview from Sarah Palin will make the intertubes tomorrow.  I have totally suppressed the “Sarah Palin reading habits” thing tonight and have concentrated my mind on the one thing that truly matters.  Baseball.

So — now that the White Sox have finally booked their place, my take: Red Sox over Devil Rays in the ALCS, Cubs over Brewers in the NLCS, Cubs take the Series.

Open season, folks.  Who you got?

Sen. John McCain has built his entire political career after the Keating 5 scandal around being a MAVERICK.  As such, he finds some value in joining with Democrats from time to time to get some legislation action.  But he basically has two weeks to decide whether to keep up the pressure or save what’s left of his career.  Please join me after the very conveniently placed jump-link for a more complete explanation.

DEVELOPING HARD: House GOPers gang up on Pelosi, kill bailout bill.  Wall Street FREAKS OUT, down somewhere between 500-700 points and going lower.  McCain looking for someone to hit, finding nobody as they have all fled the Geezerplex.  Decision may have been the right one on principle, but everybody’s 401(k) just took a massive whuppin’.

More details laters, as soon as sober analysis and non-panicked thinking retake hold.  Kthxbai.
