Having conquered Africa and Australia, Barack Obama’s peripatetic birth certificate is now storming Canada:

The supermarket tabloid the Globe features a cover story this week proclaiming Barack Obama’s “official birth document” a fake and suggesting the president may actually have been born in Canada…

The Globe also quotes Canadian broadcaster Brian Barron as saying Obama’s mother gave birth to the child in Vancouver, Canada, before transferring as a student to the University of Washington in Seattle.

When WorldNetDaily exclusively! cites the Globe as a source, you know you have a winner.

Left unanswered: How Barry’s Mom faked out Hawaiian officials and newspapers with only a three-day window of opportunity — two of which fell on a weekend.

There are many disturbing details in the current bill that Washington is trying to rush through Congress, but we must stick to a discussion of the issues and not get sidetracked by tactics that can be accused of leading to intimidation or harassment. Such tactics diminish our nation’s civil discourse which we need now more than ever because the fine print in this outrageous health care proposal must be understood clearly and not get lost in conscientious voters’ passion to want to make elected officials hear what we are saying. Let’s not give the proponents of nationalized health care any reason to criticize us.

Some note that she’s taking the Glenn Beck Cover My Ass approach to the ongoing riots debates, while others amuse themselves trying to square the latest statement with Friday’s Death Panel classic.

And us? We’re amazed at her sudden ability to string clauses coherently — a talent not evident when she’s using her own mouth, and not a mouthpiece.

An ad campaign featured on a U.S. Army website seeking those who would be interested in being an “Internment/Resettlement” specialist is raising alarms across the country, generating concerns that there is some truth in those theories about domestic detention camps, a roundup of dissidents and a crackdown on “threatening” conservatives.

How they manage to fear a government they say can’t run a car-rebate program, much less socialized health care, is beyond us.

Not only do I think that the BBC’s Top Gear is good automotive programming, I think it’s some of the best TV out there.  I wanted to share Jeremy Clarkson’s test of the new Ford Fiesta because, in the dark corners of the automotive blogosphere that I visit, it has been praised as the funniest road test ever done. The last scene had me laughing like an insane person (starts 8 minutes in).

And, while I’m at it – why doesn’t Ford offer the German-built Fiesta here?  If I needed a car I’d certainly consider, and probably buy, the sport version. At any rate, enjoy:
