“President Obama said we can’t eat as much food as we want and think the rest of the world will be okay about that — as if that matters to freedom-loving Americans,” said Bachmann. “Well, we just heard last week that the Federal Government now under the Obama administration is calling for a re-ordering of America’s food supply. What’s that going to mean? Now will the White House decide how many calories we consume, or what types of food we consume?”

Lie to Me

Let's go to the Replay Ref for a ruling. Joe, as we’ll call him, was frustrated. He was looking forward to extensive reports of the largest protest in world history, and nobody covered it. Not CNN. Not MSNBC. Not even the World Fishing Network.

“I surfed all channels Sunday looking for the big story on the D.C. march and found none — save Fox News,” he told WorldNetDaily. “I was infuriated. How can anyone who calls themselves a journalist ignore this?”

Indeed. The angry mob on the Mall could have easily filled all but the upper deck of FedExField — and nobody in DC ignores the Redskins. Whose microphone do you have to suck to get some attention in this country?

Fred Cusick (1918 – 2009)

OK, everybody. Stop dying. Now.

Fred Cusick, voice of the Bruins — dead from cancer, age 90. When I was a mere cubicle, me and Pa Bureau gathered around the set and watched hockey. And Fred was there with us. For those behind the Chowdah Curtain, he was hockey’s version of Walter Cronkite — no joke.

I learned a while back that a paralegal (since departed to greener pastures) was from New Hampshaah. He had a Bruins tattoo on his arm. So I played a little word association. I said, “Fred Cusick.” And he said instantaneously — “SCORE!!” (Examples in Youtube clip below.) Everybody in New England would have that come to mind just as quickly.
