But we’ll grant that Cindy is scary. She reminds of the woman in The Thin Blue Line who makes up a shooting she didn’t see just to get the attention. Anyway, since y’all are buzzing about SNL’s QVC opener with Psychogeezer, here it is.

Ped and I went looking for protestors at Qualcomm yesterday, but we couldn’t find any. Instead, everyone was getting ready for a hastily organized rally in Hillcrest (San Diego’s Castro, sort of) that brought out what the photographer estimates as 7,000 to 10,000 people.

That would match my very rough estimate of 8,000 at the stadium, although the same photographer puts the HateFest at 15,000. HateFest organizers call it 33,000. The stadium seats 71,500. No way in hell was it even a quarter full.

If you thought Tuesday was our chance to put Bush and Cheney in the rear-view mirror, think again. We still have to deal with them at family reunions.

Here in Stinque Land, we’re lowering the level of discourse one post at a time — and today will live in infamy, with the first installment of our new series, Ask A Pornographer. We’re going to start off slow, asking him a few get-to-know-you questions. Then get ready, Stinqueroos, because we’re opening up like a glistening flower for an unruly pounding of the hardest questions you can give us for him to answer next week.

Lower the lights, put on some mood music and join us after the jump.

Cocktober sucked. To be more precise, there was no sign of the sucking, fucking, wetsuit-wearing, blowjob-inflicting, and kid-touching we’ve come to expect from the party of Bob Allen, Gary Aldridge, and Mark FoleyBut the logjam may be breaking:

CARLISLE, Pa. – A former central Pennsylvania county commissioner was accused Thursday of secretly videotaping men having sex in his home and using computer software to spy on another man.

Cumberland County Commissioner Bruce K. Barclay used hidden cameras scattered throughout his home to make 176 recordings of 13 different men naked or engaged in sex, the state attorney general’s office said.

Prosecutors charged Barclay, 49, with hiring a prostitute, a computer offense, unlawful duplication and 13 counts of invasion of privacy. He also was charged with a single count of illegal interception, disclosure or use of wire, electronic or oral communications.

I went to a pretty good auto show in Carlisle once.  More PA assfucking after the jump.

Last night, I was at the Blackhawks game. The pre-game festivities are sappy, as they are in any sports arena — music and imagery designed to pump up the crowd seems awfully contrived. But, of course, the National Anthem is different here. Usually, people stand silently until the last few bars. Here, the crowd loudly applauds and cheers, drowning out the song. Last night, I got a little emotional during the Anthem, thinking about what is to come.

Due to spotty internet connections and other responsibilities — working for Barry up in Madison, primarily — I will not be posting again, probably, until it is all over. Hopefully, we will take down the enormous forces that have been built and refined over the last eight years. May I just say, however, that you guys have helped me laugh through these years, and that I am grateful? (I may say that? Gee! Thanks, you guys!)

Now then — let’s go win this thing.
