Turns out the Obama Administration is redistributionist after all — just like every Administration since Reagan’s:

No group was immune to the downturn. In 2008, as the financial crisis raged, the stock market hit bottom and the Great Recession ate into the economy, the number of millionaires in the United States plunged.

But last year the number of millionaires bounced up sharply, new data show.

And after that decline and rebound, the millionaire class held a larger percentage of the country’s wealth than it did in 2007.

Yes, we know, if only Poor White Trash would recognize their true economic interests, we might get some real action on this front. But they’re aspirational, you see, and now they have even more to aspire to. Everybody wins!

In light of what’s going down in South Carolina right now — with not one, not two, but three Demrat primary candidates suspected of being plants by a shadowy, wealthy political conspiracy — why do we choose instead to devote the morning post to failed California Secretary of State candidate Orly Taitz?

Because she’s adorable, that’s why.

And besides, with events moving so rapidly, we’ll probably have some fresh SC developments by the time we wake up.

Are they live or augmented? Wingnut blogger TigerHawk summarizes:

Sarah Palin’s breasts are suddenly the objects of great interest on the left, not because of their obvious appeal, but as an opportunity to accuse her of having enhanced them with implants. This controversy follows an earlier obsession with Sarah Palin’s medical care, the election-year spat over whether she is indeed the mother of her son Trig or (alternatively) was reckless in flying back to Alaska to give birth to him.

While we can’t deny that lefty blogs are, um, milking the story for all it’s worth, for the record it appears to have originated at the Boston Fox affiliate:

The former Alaska governor was spotted at the Belmont Stakes in New York last weekend looking bustier than usual, prompting many to wonder if she’s gotten a boob job.

Palin’s newfound perkiness even bumped “Heidi Montag” and “implants” off the most Googled list.

Profile whores Kitty Harris and Michele Bachmann were unavailable for comment.

The truth may be out there about South Carolina Mystery Candidate Alvin Greene, but darn if anyone can find it. Jim Clyburn, who singlehandedly keeps SC from being a total loss to the Republic, has called for an investigation into whether Greene’s a plant, and an SC pol has helpfully explained what went wrong:

State Sen. Robert Ford, D-Charleston, who lost his gubernatorial bid Tuesday, said race could have played a role. The Democratic primary electorate is majority black, as is Greene, but not [Senate primary opponent] Rawl. “Vic Rawl had money, but he didn’t have enough. He wasn’t able to identify himself with black voters,” Ford said. “No white folks have an ‘e’ on the end of Green. The blacks after they left the plantation couldn’t spell, and they threw an ‘e’ on the end.”

Er, sorry. We’re supposed to say something clever here, but our jaw just rolled under the table.

We could care less what the Queen thinks about our English, but it’s good to know we’re mostly off the hook.
