have you heard? BP now stands for British Pensioners

why do I suspect that british pensioners are going to have a lot of new friends.

You mean to tell me there’s risk involved in investments? This comes as news to me. From all the commercials I thought it was just like putting your money in a savings account. The only effort involved was to find which investment paid the highest rate of return.

Step 1: Liquidate BP, the owner of the well, to pay for the damage to the coast and the people of the region.

If money is still owed, proceed to…

Step #2: liquidate Transocean, the owner of the rig, to pay for the remaining damage to the coast and the people of the region.

If money is still owed, proceed to…

Step #3: Liquidate Halliburton, who improperly cemented the well some 20 hours before the explosion.

If money is still owed… OK, well maybe at that point the American people will have to open their wallets. But any larceny against the American taxpayer is premature at this point.
