We want him to die.

And not a peaceful death, either. Something ravenous, like vultures in the desert, peeling his flesh bit by bit, leaving some for later, inflicting great pain, unendurable pain, pain that lasts forever, pain that even death cannot relieve, because death is always near but never final.

Something like that. Something with style.

We don’t have it in us to say much, so we’ll let Chris Hayes handle the details about immigrant children being separated from their families. We’re just exhausted, really, exhausted at the intentional, methodical cruelty being inflicted by our country in our name, exhausted at the atrocities being committed daily by our government, exhausted by the gleeful callousness, exhausted by the lack of basic human decency shown by our leaders and a significant number of our fellow citizens.

Lives are being ruined, lives that will not be recovered by a change of administrations. There is no forgiveness for this, nor will there be justice. You know, we tried to help.

We tried to provide access to healthcare. We tried to preserve inexpensive access to higher education. We tried to keep unions strong. We tried to keep you in your house.

We tried. We really tried.

But you didn’t listen. You voted for liars who wanted to line the pockets of their wealthy masters. You voted for warmongers who stuff your kids in tanks with cheap armor. You voted for hustlers who praise Jesus from the Cadillacs you paid for.

We tried to help. But you were really, really stupid.
