Wendy Long (Judidicial Confirmation Network): On September 11, America saw firsthand the vital role of America’s firefighters in protecting our citizens.  They put their lives on the line for her and the other citizens of New York and the nation.  But Judge Sotomayor would sacrifice their claims to fair treatment in employment promotions to racial preferences and quotas.  The Supreme Court is now reviewing that decision.

The wankery alert system is in the red today – let’s start with Chairman Michael Steele, who thinks that the days of the GOP apologizing for its sins are in the past, that they’ve turned the corner!

First, the Republican Party will be forward-looking – it is time to stop looking backward. Republicans have spent ample time re-examining the past. It has been a healthy and necessary task. But I believe it is now time for Republicans to focus all of our energies on winning the future by emerging as the party of new ideas.

This is Wendy Long.  She runs something called the Judicial Confirmation Network.  She used to clerk for everyone’s favorite judicial sociopath, Clarence Thomas.  And now that Obama gets to put someone on the Supreme Court, she’s having a tantrum.

The current Supreme Court is a liberal, judicial activist court. Obama could make it even more of a far-left judicial activist court, for a long time to come, if he appoints radicals like Diane Wood, Sonia Sotomayor, and Elena Kagan. A new Justice in this mold would just entrench a bad majority for a long time.

I do not think that word means what Wendy thinks it means.
