Title: “I’ll Go Home Then, It’s Warm and Has Chairs. The Unpublished Emails.”

Author: David Thorne

Rank: 50

Blurb: “All new, never before published material from the author of The Internet is a Playground and 27bslash6.com.”

Review: “Although I haven’t bought it and as such haven’t read it, I’m convinced that between the covers are multiple pages filled with properly-spelled words and maybe some pictures. The pages may or may not be bound to the cover with some sort of glue, gum or cat gut (don’t know what it is, but sounds cool). If I can scrape up enough change from my couch or co-workers desks I would love to buy this as my daughter likes penquins and I like sentences. Even though Mr. Thorne has never responded to my fan email or bought anything from me, I will put money in his pocket by putting this in my restroom. If nothing else it will make a great paper cut arsenal for my post-apocalypse survival kit.”

Back on February 27, Fox Orlando reported on a local shooting that happened the night before:

A man who witnessed part of the altercation contacted authorities.

“The guy on the bottom, who had a red sweater on, was yelling to me, ‘Help! Help!’ and I told him to stop, and I was calling 911,” said the witness, who asked to be identified only by his first name, John.

John said he locked his patio door, ran upstairs and heard at least one gun shot.

“And then, when I got upstairs and looked down, the guy who was on the top beating up the other guy, was the one laying in the grass, and I believe he was dead at that point.”

This corroborates a few details we already know. There was a fight. George Zimmerman was wearing a red jacket. Zimmerman was the man yelling for help on the 911 tapes. His back was wet and covered with grass. He was bleeding out the nose and the back of his head.

It does not, however, tell us anything new.

Among a few interesting items uncovered in trying to examine the facts behind the shooting of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin without drawing any conclusions, was that a widely viewed photograph of Martin appears to have been altered, somewhat.

Here [left] is what appears to be the original via the Miami Herald.

The one [right] has been observed in the media and at forums such as Democracy Now. Clearly, it has been lightened, or softened, somehow. Along with other possible alterations, he looks far more, perhaps innocent is the right word, in the altered image. For the record, that has nothing to do with the guilt, or innocence, of anyone involved, but more to do with the reporting of the story, which is why I’m bringing it up.

His hoodie killed Trayvon Martin as surely as George Zimmerman did…

No one black, brown or white can honestly tell me that seeing a kid of color with a hood pulled over his head doesn’t generate a certain reaction, sometimes scorn, often menace.

When you see that kid coming your way, unless you specifically recognize him you are thinking ghetto or ghetto wannabe high-style or low-brow wise-ass. Pedestrians cross the street to avoid black or brown hoodie wearers coming their way…

If you dress like a hoodlum eventually some schmuck is going to take you at your word.

Trayvon Martin Would Be Alive but for His Hoodie [Fox News Latino]

A teenager was returning home from the 7-Eleven.

A man was stalking him.

The teenager was packing Skittles and a can of Arizona Iced Tea.

The man was packing a Kel-Tek 9mm semiautomatic handgun.

The teenager was talking to his girlfriend:

“He said this man was watching him, so he put his hoodie on. He said he lost the man,” Martin’s friend said. “I asked Trayvon to run, and he said he was going to walk fast. I told him to run, but he said he was not going to run.”

The man was talking to 911:
