Looks like the C Street Master of the Universe is in trouble:

South Carolina state house Republicans are meeting this weekend to discuss “what it would take to force the Republican governor out and how the process would work.” Ever since acknowledging his extramarital affair with an Argentine woman, Gov. Mark Sanford has been under fire for possibly violating state law by flying in expensive business-class seats. Sanford has thus far refused to resign from office, forcing state Republicans toconsider alternative means.

It’s not the schtupping so much as it’s flying business class and charging the state when flying to the schtup.

Jonah Goldberg:

Jonah Goldberg, editor-at-large of National Review Online, went on Fox News today to fan the flames of the latest fabricated “death panel” controversy.

Goldberg equated a Veterans Affairs pamphlet — one that’s reportedly no longer being used — with Nazi eugenics, saying “death panels may not be too far off the horizon.”

BOISE, Idaho (AP) – State Republican Party leader Challis McAffee doesn’t have permit issued in Idaho to carry a concealed weapon. The 33-year-old was charged with assault with a deadly weapon this week after an alleged dispute with a homeowner while McAffee was documenting homes where mortgages are delinquent.

If this guy doesn’t do serious jail time, I will eat my shoes.

BOISE, Idaho — An Idaho Republican Party leader who helped oust the state GOP chairman in 2008 faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after an altercation escalated while he photographed a home with a delinquent mortgage.

Challis McAffee, 33, the GOP chairman from the Boise suburb of Garden City and one of 231 voting members of the Idaho Republican Central Committee, was arrested after being accused of pointing a gun at the homeowner. He was released from Ada County jail on Thursday after family members and friends posted a portion of the $50,000 bond.
