First State Chevrolet in Delaware sold John and Debbie Hooper a new 2o12 Camaro ZL1. After they had put 10k miles on the car, there was a paint issue that still had not been resolved. Tom dropped the car off at the dealership for a bit of a respray and, when he returned, the car looked like this:

Seems an employee of the dealership came in on a Sunday when it was closed and took the car out for a little joy ride. And wrapped it around a phone pole. Totaled.

Hearken back to 1966:

As some of you know, I’m not the best at leaving Manhattan. Or leaving the apartment for that matter. So where to go when you haven’t left Manhattan for a year? Mitsuwa, of course, in Edgewater, New Jersey. It’s a gigantic Japanese grocery store. All we had to do was catch a shuttle from the Port Authority.

It’s Academic is a DC-area quiz show that features teams of high school students competing for … not much. I was an alternate to the alternates – I was never going to be on the show. I went to a couple tapings however, and this guy put other game show hosts to shame. A bit of my childhood.

Cornish game hens – the recipe turned out very tasty, but it’s easier to just put lemon and thyme in the cavity and bake them.
