I love it when attractive people tell you that “you too can improve your life!” Take away her looks and she’s tending bar in Appleton, Wisconsin and wondering if tonight’s the night they come and repossess her ’02 Ford Focus. Take away Tony Robbins’ chin and he’s coaching high school girls volleyball and hoping he doesn’t get caught with that 15-year-old he’s been schtupping.

@ManchuCandidate: She has written at least ten books loosely based on “A Course in Miracles”. Her first, “A Return to Love” in 1992 includes this quote that has become fairly well known in spiritual circles,
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. There’s nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we’re liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”

Regardless of what she’s done in the past, in 2014 she’s running for the House against Rep. Henry Waxman in California’s 33’rd District.
