Atari Brings 100 Retro Titles to iOS in “Atari’s Greatest Hits”! [Touch Arcade]

MS once had a game 3.5″ HDD with the greatest Atari hits on it (we’re talking Windows 3.1).

I installed it on my machine… then removed it 2 months later after I couldn’t get any work done due to hours of playing Centipede.

This is bad news.

Damn, Nojo. I’m sorry that’s the only game you ever rocked, but you gotta let it go. This Centipede thing concerns me more than the frog thing. Hmmm…I’m starting to see some sort of connection.

@ManchuCandidate: You can even set the credit limit and difficulty level — which I’ll presume matches the original arcade options.

It’s very, very, dangerous.

@nojo: The arcades had this amazing system to keep you from wasting too much time playing. They made you pay for the privilege. Put a quarter in a jar every time you start a game. Don’t take any quarters out. Your addiction will be under control very soon.

@Dave H: That could work with Angry Birds and A Monster Ate My Homework, too. I think you might be on to something.

Why you guys play that blotchy, repetitive game when you could be playing Dead Space 2 or Mass Effect 2 is beyond me.
