Orygun Bureau update: OPB and the Oregonian have called the gov’s race for the Dem. Thanks, People’s Republic of Multnomah County (Lane helped, too, nojo).

Turncoats TJ/ Looks like New Mexico Dems split their tickets in some traditionally strong rural northern Hispanic counties for us. They broke anywhere from 6 to 15 percent for the Hispanic GOP candidate but came right back for all the down ticket races except for secretary of state, a race in which they also elected a GOP Hispanic woman to replace the (terrible) incumbent Hispanic Democrat.

/geek who has already studied the Secretary of State’s county election results

Off to read OMB Circulars A-133 and A-87 . . .

@Mistress Cynica: “Can someone explain why Oregon was such a Dem stronghold?” asked Weigel on Twitter.

“Portland & Eugene,” responded the StinqueTweet.

@nojo: The Puget Sound metroplex is frequently referred to as “Seattle and Gomorrah.”

@SanFranLefty:

Two things –

Did you catch the celebration in the Civic Center?

I am learning how to be a Democrat again, and I want to get this right. Would this be an appropriate “condolences on the election” gift for my Democratic friends?

@libertarian tool: I was on Montgomery Street. Photos posted on the Book of Faces. Mr. SFL and I spent the evening watching clips – can’t decide if my favorite was when the Guvernator asked Brian “The Beard” Wilson, “Where’s the machine?” or when Aubrey Huff pulled his Zoolander move on the steps of City Hall.

Chinese toys? Hellllllooo, melamine poisoning!
