Rahm’s Kind of Town

“Rahm Emanuel kicked off his campaign for Mayor of Chicago with a homecoming video, filmed in front of a bookshelf with a vase and a family photograph. ‘I was born here and my wife Amy and I raised our three children here,’ he says. ‘I’m glad to be home.’ But an Emanuel spokeswoman, Lori Goldberg, confirms that the video itself was actually filmed in Washington, D.C., in the offices of AKPD media, the firm founded by David Axelrod.” [Politico]

Not even an opening threat? Maybe even just a little “go fuck yourselves” muttered under his breath?

If he didn’t at least unholster the finger guns and symbolically terrorize the camara crew, this campaign is DOA.

@¡Andrew!: Might be DOA anyway. The other news breaking today is that Chicago residency requirements may be too strict for a DC sabbatical.

@¡Andrew!: @nojo: How would you like to be the couple refusing to move out of his house? Talk about cojones! I would be afraid to open the mail.

Apparently the only thing worth filming in Chicago is another crappy Transformers movie.
