In the past week, Jerry Brown finally donated $3,000 of his own money to his campaign for California Governor. In the same week, Meg Whitman donated another $3,000,000 to her campaign, taking the total amount of her wealth spent on the election to date to $71,000,000.

Meg should just stand at the polls with $1000 bills and hand them to voters. “Asshole, vote for me. I am fucking rich and you are fucking poor and I deserve to run your life and state wherever the fuck I please. Right, asshole? Here’s your fucking money. Go buy a new tent and a pallet of fucking dog food for you and your pathetic fucking family.”

I’m going to relish watching this woman lose.

@FCS: That would be a more fiscally prudent and effective technique than her campaign has taken to date. Bonus: no more teevee or radio ads with her voice scraping fingernails on the chalkboard.

@Serolf Divad: My prediction is that she wins the primary easily and loses the general election by 15 points.

@Dodger: Gary Coleman came in 8th in the recall election that Arnie won. Never underestimate the idiocy of the California voter.

@SanFranLefty: I figured it would be a lot more tasteful than her campaign thus far. Then again, asking people to hold their hands so she can take a dump in them would be less offensive than her campaign thus far.

@SanFranLefty: I like to think that most voters are stupid, period.

TJ/ Have I told you guys how much I love the spam names I’ve been getting on e-mail lately. Today I got one from Friedheld Horne. Friedheld Horne! Plus the body of the e-mail read as follows:

The girl has been pardoned. No harm will come to her. You have my word on that

There’s a performance art piece in there, somewhere…

@Dodgerblue: Right, and then she’ll buy her own airforce to bomb and strafe the major cities of California to prove the superior efficiency of private industry.

this is why i’m always kvetching about campaign finance reform.
it’s obscene. how much more favor might she gain with voters by spending it on putting 23,000 teachers back to work?
