Fake Teabagger Writes Fake Check

Poor Scott Ashjian. All he wanted to do was challenge Harry Reid as the “Tea Party of Nevada” candidate. But the teabaggers disowned him — technically, claimed they never owned him in the first place — and now the Clark County district attorney’s office wants him to own up:

A Nevada asphalt contractor who faces a legal challenge to his Tea Party of Nevada candidacy for U.S. Senate was hit Friday with felony theft and bad check charges in Las Vegas that allege he bounced a $5,000 business check last year.

This being Nevada, we should mention that the head of the DA’s bad-check unit is also a Republican running for judge. But since Ashjian also lost his contractor’s license last week after failing to answer a complaint that he bounced a different check, owes the IRS $200,000, and stiffs the trash collector, we’re going to call it a fair cop.

A teabagger with money and tax problems.

I’m… shocked?

Nevada — a state, or a playground for wack jobs?
