Just When We Thought We Were Free of the Need for Cat Videos, America Pulls Us Back In

Something you probably didn’t know about sloths:

Sloths go to the ground to urinate and defecate about once a week, digging a hole and covering it afterwards. They go to the same spot each time and are vulnerable to predation while doing so. The reason for this risky behaviour is unknown, although some believe that it is to avoid making noise while defecating from up high that would attract predators.

Sloths: They’re just like us! Well, when we’re really drunk.

That doesn’t look pleasant.

@JNOV: No Kitty Eyes Were Poked Out.

@nojo: I was waiting for it. I don’t think the cat liked the death grip and was playing dead.

Who keeps a sloth in their home anyway? (I’m not talking about SOs or children.)

@JNOV: Sloths can cost $5,000, need a very warm climate, need something to climb on, and require special vet insurance because specialists can be hard to find. And that’s where it’s legal to own one.

My research didn’t stop at delightful defecation descriptions.
