My World — And You’re Welcome to Ignore It

Paul Ryan, Fox News Sunday:

“It goes without saying that there is definitely media bias. I think most people in the mainstream media are left of center and, therefore, they want a very left-of-center president versus a conservative president like Mitt Romney.”

Chris Christie, ABC This Week:

“I’m not going to sit here and complain about coverage of the campaign. As a candidate, if you do that, you’re losing.”

Paul Ryan spokesbot, Sunday afternoon:

“He did not blame the media. He was asked a question about media bias and answered it. And his answer made clear it’s not something he worries about.”

Media Matters:

Since June, the major TV news outlets have devoted seven full segments to Paul Ryan’s physical fitness and P90X workout routine, and only one to Arctic sea ice loss.

The media isn’t left of center. It’s left out reality.

No, no one wants a clueless idiot as preznit…. again.

@ManchuCandidate: I love the spokespot excuse: Well, gee, Ryan was just answering a question. As if politicians ever answer questions they don’t like.

Back in McMinnville, I once interviewed Demrat congresscritter Les AuCoin during a campaign. He kept dismissing my questions, and talked about whatever he was pitching instead. I, being only 23, had no clue how to handle that.

@nojo: That happened to me with Timothy Leary, only I was trying to talk him into doing a radio interview and he was trying to score with the coeds. We drank tequila, and the next day I had a friend interview me about drinking tequila with Leary.
