Wonder who got bumped? My brother has had to wait a month just to get in to speak to a heart surgeon about a bypass. The guy can hardly walk two feet before having to sit down.

How did that sack of garbage qualify? Almost makes me rethink my decision to be an organ donor, the thought that my organs might go toward extending the life of a geriatric war criminal. What next, a liver for Agusto Pinochet?

Looks like the Tin Man will never get his heart.

@Serolf Divad: And realize that WE paid for it – he has government health care for the rest of his miserable life.

The fruit trees are coming into bloom and my study is lush with the scent of fresh cut daffodils.

Just about everybody I’ve seen comment on this find it remarkable that he had a heart to replace. First thought that everybody had. I run in a good circle.

And the second thought was: somebody died so that Cheney could live.

Haven’t been on Twitter to see who, of the usual suspects, are accusing dirty fucking hippies of being classless. But it’s true — somebdy died so that Cheney could live. And not for a long time, either; prognosis on transplants isn’t the best anyhow.

There’s this: the atheists had their Mall rally Saturday. Draw your own conclusions.

@chicago bureau: Single bullet theory?

ADD: I thought Cheney had a mechanical pumper keeping him alive. This is more of an outrage than the 2 Month Liver that Mickey Mantle got.

@nabisco: but Mickey Mantle (loathe as this Red Sox fan is to admit it) brought joy to millions. Cheney?

@chicago bureau: Darth C brought joy to millionaires (and billionaires). That’s close.

@Nabisco: Cheney had a pump keeping him alive and, it was said, had no discernable pulse.
