My Wife — I Think I’ll Keep Her. As a Spare.

“The ex-Mrs. Gingrich said Newt sought an ‘open marriage’ arrangement so he could have a mistress and a wife. She said when Gingrich admitted to a six-year affair with a Congressional aide, he asked her if she would share him with the other woman, Callista, who is now married to Gingrich.” [ABC]

A real fascist would just propose a resident harem.

Il Nuce’s always been a lightweight fascist.

I think this might be my favorite day ever: Jesus thinks better of his Perry endorsement; Teabaggers endorse Gingrich then his ex-wife fire-bombs his campaign; Santorum remains froth; the Iowa Republican Party turns out to be so incompetent it can’t even count its own votes; and Romney can’t stop cramming his feet in his mouth.

I now must go and skip about the garden with the pugs.

Much the same thought was going through my head. Makes me wonder how much of an “enthusiasm gap” will remain by the time Romney is officially nominated. Why anyone would be motivated to vote for any if these assclowns absent a viceral, patholligical hatred of the black guy in the White House….

@Serolf Divad: Yep. Newt’s remark about “food stamp President” was not very well-hidden code for Black Guy, as in “where the white women at?”

@Benedick: Nate Silver has Romney and Gingrich tied in SC. It just gets better and better.

@Mistress Cynica: The longer Newt stays in, the better it is for our team.

I haven’t been so happy since the vicar was caught in the shrubbery.

@Dodgerblue: and putting the little black kids to work as janitors at school. just exactly like it used to be during segregation when they were only there to work for damn near nothing and not to learn.

@Mistress Cynica: Now that he’s in the rearview, I have to ask, how was Governor Kulongoski? (I’m distantly related to him by marriage.)

@mellbell: Seemed like a good governor. To my knowledge, he didn’t screw anything up too badly, which is high praise indeed these days.
