Sarah Palin Farewell Tour Begins

Now that Sarah Palin doesn’t matter, it’s gonna be difficult to maintain interest in her, but before we shove her down the Memory Hole to join Glenn Beck (Who? Right.), let’s do one more round for old times’ sake:

“Hank Williams and what he is going through now, I think it’s a very clear illustration of a greater societal problem and that is the hypocrisy on the left — the liberals who can throw these stones at a conservative and they knowing that they’re not going to be held accountable,” Palin said on Sean Hannity’s radio show Thursday…

“It’s a one way street and we’re always walking on eggshells, aren’t we?” she said. “You know, like, oh gees, if I say that is somebody going to misinterpret it or spin it as something that is quote unquote racist or sexist or anything else? But the other side … they can say whatever they want and nobody calls them out on it. I think it’s pretty disgusting.”

Yes, well, just what did Junior say?

Williams, who sings the lead-in to the game each week, criticized the president for his golf summit with House Speaker John Boehner this summer.

“It would be like Hitler playing golf with (Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin) Netanyahu,” Williams told “Fox & Friends.”

So everybody misinterpreted Junior as comparing Obama to one of History’s Greatest Monsters, and… and…

Fuck. We just can’t do it. Sorry, Talibunny. We tried, we really did, but we just can’t bring ourselves to care any more.

Sarah Palin: Hank Williams Jr. a victim of ‘hypocrisy’ [Politico]

I wish the electoral and judicial battle for the country’s soul and future were as easy as we on the left throwing stones at those on the right walking on eggshells. Wouldn’t be much of a fight would it? And those on the right would obviously be laying low ducking the stones instead of proclaiming their victimization at every opportunity. Why does the party of the privileged always feel so victimized? Do the poor, the union members, the uninsured, the unemployed, the blue collared workers, and the huddled masses harangue, hound, and harass them at every country club, corporate board meeting, and high dollar vacation resort they visit? And do these folks whup some serious privileged ass at every encounter making off with all the treasure and privilege that by some divine right should be the sole property of the upper class? To hear Sarah, fox noise and others tell it, that must be the case. Sounds like a tough fucking life. If I ever get rich, I better give it away fast. Sounds like struggling is much better than not.

I love wingnut/GOP political correctness. Any mention of income disparity=class warfare. Any critique of the “free” market=socialism. Meh.

@Jesuswalksinidaho: Right wing hate radio in Albuquerque was totally in love with Occupy Wall Street on Thursday. The afternoon host played a rant by some kid there and said: “There’s not one thing I disagree with.” Most callers were the same, except for one guy who said Code Pink and CPUSA was behind the whole thing. Freak-eh.

Metallica HQ with Gadsden flag in background. They’ve been rockin’ the snake flag since the late ’80s.

Metallica “Bad Seed” for your listening enjoyment this afternoon.

Sarah P: “I’m ready for my close up, Mr Ailes…”

Todd P: “What the fuck, Sarah!!??! Who the fuck are you talking too? All the cameras left 15 months ago. The money left 2 months ago. JeeZUS!!!!”

@ManchuCandidate:
The heads of the Wasilla Tourist Bureau and the Crawford TX Tourist Bureau start sending each other commiserating emails. Sarah decides she has to stay in the spotlight because “it creates jobs, youbetcha”.

Junior is complaining that his 1st Amendment rights have been violated. Unfortunately, the 1st Amendment protects his speech from the government, not his employer. What a fucking maroon.

@blogenfreude:

Bonus points to anybody who points out to Hank that he might not have been terminated if he had a union. ;)

Bill Maher is a union member and it didn’t do him any good.
