Pay No Attention to the Men Behind the Curtain

Title: “The Original Argument: The Federalists’ Case for the Constitution, Adapted for the 21st Century”

Author: Glenn Beck

Rank: 4

Blurb: “Adapting a selection of these essential essays — pseudonymously authored by the now well-documented triumvirate of Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, and John Jay — for a contemporary audience, Glenn Beck has had them reworked into ‘modern’ English so as to be thoroughly accessible to anyone seeking a better understanding of the Founding Fathers’ intent and meaning when laying the groundwork of our government.”

Review: “From the first page of the introduction, I instantly knew that — next to the Bible — this would be the most important and impact full book I would ever read.”

Footnote: “As a guide in expounding and applying the provisions of the Constitution, the debates and incidental decisions of the Convention can have no authoritative character.” —James Madison, September 15, 1821.

I no longer question the intelligence of Beck followers. Don’t need to.

One wonders how this will go over with the “KJV is the only Bible; everything else is FROM SATAN!” crowd that makes up a chunk of the Beckerhead Nation.

His “translation” of the U.S. Constitution: rich, straight white men get to do whatever they want.
