I’ve been aware of this magazine for a while. It’s not as cool as you might think*. It’s sort of like Sunset magazine for the upscale South.

*i.e., no articles on “plugging prairie dogs without bugging the NIMBY/Just Got Here Neighbors: review of the Gamo Whisper .177 cal. pellet rifle”.

Dang, I thought it would be filled with tips on things like taking out woodchucks in the garden with Stinger missiles and shit.

@FlyingChainSaw: The prairie dogs totally took over my dad’s alfalfa field last summer. They sell anti-burrowing animal smoke bombs in the hardware stores here, but they’re really expensive. Thing about a Stinger is that you have a crater where you used to have a pasture, although you could get water to it and have a pond that you could stock with fish. The horses could drink from it, too. That would cut your alfalfa production, however. Dad gets at least 200 bales of hay from the field, which saves him a fair amount of money since he does not have to buy that much hay at $6-$8 a bale.

They sell anti-burrowing animal smoke bombs…

Didn’t they see Caddyshack? It didn’t work then and it won’t work now.
