Obama Fails First Trust Exercise of 2011

This morning’s email blast from The Flunky to The Preznit of These United States:

Our progress is under attack.

Their majority is not even a day old, but House Republicans are already getting ready to pass a bill to repeal health reform.

Quickly followed by this morning’s news:

The Obama administration, reversing course, will revise a Medicare regulation to delete references to end-of-life planning as part of the annual physical examinations covered under the new health care law, administration officials said Tuesday.

Does deleting references = gag order? ETA: No, it doesn’t:

“We will amend the regulation to take out voluntary advance care planning,” the official said. “This should not affect beneficiaries’ ability to have these voluntary conversations with their doctors.”

The important part is the right to a yearly physical.

BTW. The White House has bought the Google click (whatever that means) to ‘Obamacare’.

@Benedick: @mellbell: What does it mean? (buying the Google click to “Obamacare”) and why is it smart of them?

@Benedick: Geeks know better – aka almost everyone else here – but it seems you can buy lease terms from Google (which is how they make money apparently) to guide, shall we say, searches. Every time some winger searches on Obamacare to see how it will destroy the world the first link that comes up will take them to the official White House site explaining exactly how to get grandma in front of a death panel.

@lynnlightfoot: What Benedick said. Minus the part about death panels.
