“Longshot Democratic U.S. Senate candidate Alvin Greene was indicted Friday on two charges, including a felony charge of showing pornography to a teenage student in a South Carolina college computer lab.” [AP/MSNBC]

@Capt Howdy: Yes, but…

Greene had visited the computer lab at the Bates House dorm in Columbia several times before his arrest, using an old student ID card to gain admission, according to campus police records. Dorm staffers told police they had asked security staff not to let him in, but reports did not give any more details.

he sounds like a mildly dim but basically harmless person. when I read he spends most of his time caring for his invalid father my picture of him changed a bit.
but who knows.
Ed Gein probably came across the same way.

I had forgotten about this:

Mars is essentially in the same orbit… Mars is somewhat the same distance from the Sun, which is very important. We have seen pictures where there are canals, we believe, and water. If there is water, that means there is oxygen. If oxygen, that means we can breathe.
