The Yellow Whore of Texas

Warm-weather secessionist Rick Perry is feeling a heat wave:

This is an administration that I see punishing this state. I say it’s time for us to stand up. I say it’s time to make Tea Parties twice as big as what they were…

This is an administration hellbent on taking America toward a socialist country, and we ought not to be afraid to say that.

Wait — punishing? How?

Citing an example to support his statement, Perry said they were notified by officials in Presidio County last week that the federal government plans to dump illegal aliens arrested in California and Arizona along the border near Presidio.

And that’s actually correct as far as it goes — as long as you don’t specify which side:

Superintendent of Presidio Independent School District, Dennis McEntire, tells us that in fact, the illegals are being sent to the Mexico side of the border. McEntire tells our reporter Ryan Derousseau that the U.S. government is taking nearly 100 undocumented immigrants caught daily in Arizona to a bridge leading to the Mexican town of Ojinaga. They are not being deposited in Texas, he said.

All in all, a fine performance by the guv. Although he might check in with New Orleans if he wants to see real government punishment in action.

He’s upset that Texas may be getting “punished”? What, he thought producing W wasn’t going to have consequences?

Stinquers, our coverage of the Joe.My.God.-Americans for Truth-calling-the-FBI-gate has gained the attention of said JMG. Well done.

@rptrcub: From Joe:

I’ve deleted a couple of dozen obviously planted comments made by LaBarbera/Barber supporters, most of whom laughably don’t even know enough gay lingo to sound remotely real. Here’s one I read on Michelangelo’s radio show yesterday: “As a BLGT man I am ready to take a machine gun to the closest church!”

Bacon, lettuce, garlic and tomato?

@SanFranLefty: Bite your tongue! Rick Perry, find a rock and crawl back under it.

@rptrcub: Also, while manifestly true, it still feels odd to be characterized as “from the Left”. Cannibal Anarchism is politically ecumenical.

The only way for him to defeat Kay Bailey Helmethair is to get the wingnuts to go to the polls … don’t mess wit’ Texas!

@nojo: I was thinking gherkins, since they’re more phallic.

@nojo:

It truly is a big-tent philosophy, if you think about it.

I’m gonna agree with Gubiner Fair Hair. Session is a GREAT idea. But only “his” part of Tejas has got to leave with all them old teabaggers.

Call It StupidFatWhiteJeebusSomalia.

@blogenfreude: It’s really too bad more RNC employees don’t milk those benefits.
