Death Race 2009

A view to a kill.Congressman Paul Broun (R-Pigfuckers) at a town hall last week:

“When I was sworn into the Marine Corps, I was sworn to uphold the Constitution against every enemy, foreign and domestic,” he said. “We’ve got a lot of domestic enemies of the Constitution and one of those sits in the speaker’s chair of the United States Congress, Nancy Pelosi.”

We think we’ve got it figured out: If everyone on the Right calls for an assassination, nobody can be blamed for it.

@Capt Howdy:

Let them go on ahead and keep that nonsense up. It’s just going to drive away moderates, and the Speaker of the House is about as safe as you can get in this country and not be the President.

@Tommmcatt is hunkered down in the trenches:
about moderates true. still its just scary. it seems like they are working every day to normalize hate speech. like the frog and the boiling water thing.
they just keep pummeling people with this stuff until they are so numb nothing however extreme or offensive is unexpected.

I cant see how this leads anywhere good.

Excuse me. There’s this ruptured vain in my temple that needs seeing to. Oh right, I’m uninsured. Never mind.

@Mistress Cynica: I may pick up that one later — the crazee’s breaking out all over today.

@nojo: Here in the Golden State, the Governator is threatening to veto all 700 bills on his desk unless he gets his way on a new water bill. And — the Demos are working to give him what he wants, rather than calling his bluff. Arggh.

@Mistress Cynica:

There’s no way that is going to stand. How can it? That is blatantly unconstitutional.

@Dodgerblue:
full disclosure: not a fan of voter ballot initiatives but reading this morning about the three heading for the ballot that would legalize pot are very interesting.

I just took the same oath as Congressman Braun did, and more recently, so does mine trump his? Can I get him declared the enemy? Opinions welcome.

@The Nabisco Quiver are Go!: I don’t think that oath gives you any legal protection, it just compels you to act when you see the shit going down. Unless your action will change the way the law is administered, then it’s a losing proposition.

@Tommmcatt is hunkered down in the trenches: I’ve been around, haven’t had any relevant comments to stories lately. The closest I came recently was something about feeling left out, between Stormy, Levi and Adam — I’m one of those deviants who’s turned off by big fake boobs, yet also not excited by the manflesh.

Also: been busy as hell, between theater and racing. Kicked ass at the last race of the season, and theater is only now spooling down to the point that I have free time for things like breathing and thinking off-subject thoughts.

@IanJ:

Her boobs. I am not at all turned on by them, yet they are oddly…compelling.

What is your theatre working on at present? Anything cool?
