Smells Like Geek Spirit

Elongated Man.Title: “Elon Musk: Tesla, SpaceX, and the Quest for a Fantastic Future”

Author: Ashlee Vancen

Rank: 47

Blurb: “Vance spent more than 30 hours in conversation with Musk and interviewed close to 300 people to tell the tumultuous stories of Musk’s world-changing companies: PayPal, Tesla Motors, SpaceX and SolarCity, and to characterize a man who has renewed American industry and sparked new levels of innovation while making plenty of enemies along the way.”

Review: “There are three books that a true geek should read at least once… Actually, I am not a true geek so I just made that up.”

Customers Also Bought: “Sam Walton: Made In America”

Footnote: The Musk Cult runs strong in Geekdom, but merging with PayPal and then flipping it to eBay isn’t the kind of Not-Founder’s Story that inspires us, and for $71,070, your hip electric car damn well better work. Get back to us when you’ve done something that actually changes our life.

One thing for sure, Elon won’t corner the market with his musk unlike a Canada City comedy character did once.

Things are going smashingly with his Moonraker program.

“Good bye, Elon. Our town will never forgive you!”

I’m scared to ask what is the meaning of “Red Diaper Baby Wipes” for the 6/5/15 Stinque Tweet of the Day.

@SanFranLefty: The associative train of thought runs something like this:

It’s suggested that I unionize myself, following Gawker’s lead. Coincidentally, my grandfather was a union organizer for lumber mills along the Oregon coast during the 30s and 40s. That was also the era of “Red Diaper Babies”, children of American old-school commies and socialists.

And once you reach “Red Diaper Baby”, the pun suggests itself.
