And may I take this opportunity to recommend again Noël Mostert’s wondrous history of South Africa and the Xhosa people – Mandela’s forebears – entitled Frontiers.

Waaaay off topic here, but I just can’t with Stephen “Lady Clairol”* Moyer as Captain Von Trapp. He can act, unlike Carrie Underwood, but he’s just so bland. Christopher Plummer was (and still is, really) a stone cold fox.

*Possibly my favorite T Lo celebrity nickname.
