A Python Christmas

Well that’s charming.

Chanukah question just occurred to me: when did Jesus have his bris and who performed it? Or did the flight into Egypt get in the way? I’ve never heard this addressed.

Nothing? Why do you people hate Christmas?

@Benedick: January 1st (a/k/a Holy Name Day) is the celebration of the circumcision of the Christ child and is, or at least used to be, a holy day of obligation for Catholics. From what I learned at my godson’s bris, the circumcision is traditionally done a week after birth.

@Mistress Cynica: Thank you. Now I know.

@Dodgerblue: Woo hoo! They think it’s the savior but it’s just Joe’s boy. Like if it was Sol’s was the Messiah I could say okay, take a piece of whitefish. Enjoy the horseradish. But Joe’s? You seen that thing he’s driving? This is not a respectable person. I am not convinced.
