PolitiFact Declares New Coke the Same as Coke Classic

PolitiFact’s Lie of the Year: “Introduced by U.S. Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin, the plan kept Medicare intact for people 55 or older, but dramatically changed the program for everyone else by privatizing it and providing government subsidies… The Democratic attack about ‘ending Medicare’ was a pervasive line in 2011 that preyed on seniors’ worries about whether they could afford health care.” [via Political Wire]

So it’s the big lie wrapped up in an even bigger lie.

The judges also would have accepted “Bait & Switch”.

Media Matters is handing out “Misinformer of the Year” awards. They haven’t yet responded to Politifact’s pick.

Wasnt it always “ending Medicare as we know it?”. Who watches the Watchmen?

@ManchuCandidate: “The Day That Never Comes.”

Watching “Another Earth.” Wowwwww . . .

Imagine a triple feature with this, “Solaris” and “Moon,” or just a double feature with “Moon.”

Or just “Moon.” Saw that recently. Excellent movie even without Michael Bayhem type explosions and a plot that made sense unlike Battleship. I saw the trailer for that and it set off the “Stupid Meter” in a Transformers kind of way.
