No, But I Play One on TV

“Michele Bachmann isn’t accepting an apology from Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace for asking her yesterday, ‘Are you a flake?’” [Politico]

Given that it clearly struck a nerve with viewers, there’s a strong chance it will also add to Bachmann’s appeal to women voters.

WTF?! I nominate this final paragraph for non sequitor of the week.

Of course Ol’ Scary Eyes is offended by being called a flake – she’s worked way too hard establishing her credentials as a virulently delusional lunatic to put up with being described as a mere “flake”.

@Serolf Divad: It will appeal to the women (and men) of the Tea Party, ratcheting up their fervor and indignation and hysterical incoherence, but I can’t see how it will garner votes that weren’t already Bachmann’s anyway.

@al2o3cr: Bravo on “establishing her credentials as a virulently delusional lunatic.”

@Serolf Divad: Amazingly, I’m able, simultaneously, to think that it’s a question which would not be asked of a similarly insane male candidate and that I’d never vote for Bachmann in a million trillion years. Of course, I’m one of those radical feminazis who believes she should control her own reproductive choices.

@Mistress Cynica: I’m with you. Not to be all hair-trigger-misogyny-ish, but Newt and The Donald in particular have already proven that they’re candidates for this type of name-calling, yet they’ve been spared.

@flippin eck: As al2o3cr pointed out, they get the “virulently delusional lunatic” label Michele was so unfairly denied because she’s a girl.
