Talibunny Palate Cleanser

Per the request from a reader, an afternoon palate cleanser.

How about some real bunnehs instead of Talibunny?

And rumor has it that these two are a couple of wacky Midwest rabbits:

This has been your afternoon moment of Zen.

P.S. Oh, and IanJ? While there were no shirtless Jon Hamm photos today, I’ll bank your str8 man dispensation to do so for a future post.

Yay, ma bunnehs! Thank you, SFL, you rock the proverbial house!

p.s. They are indeed wacky and wascally wabbits.

Thanks to whoever made that request and to SFL for the bunnies.

As for the rest of it, I’m staying away until y’all get this out of your system. No offense; just can’t deal anymore.

@TJ/ Jamie Sommers /TJ: Might be days. I actually had an off-topic post in mind for this morning, but the premise didn’t play out.

@flippin eck: I hope I can meet them the next time I get to Chicago. Both photos’ alt-text were for you, too.

@TJ/ Jamie Sommers /TJ: Ian did authorize a Jon Hamm post, too…unless he doesn’t do it for you, you can name your flavor. All about customer service around here.

more bunnies please.

more cute: poodle got the blues

in the dont you feel safer now category, Petie King to the rescue:

Rep. Peter King, a Republican from New York, is planning to introduce legislation that would make it illegal to bring a gun within 1,000 feet of a government official, according to a person familiar with the congressman’s intentions.

King is chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee. The proposed law follows the Saturday shooting of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-Ariz.) and a federal judge that left six dead, including the judge, and 14 wounded.

New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg, one of the nation’s most outspoken gun-control advocates, is backing King’s measure and is expected to put the weight of his pro-gun-control organization behind it.

in other words, you can take yer gun to school, or to church, or to a bar, or to the supermarket, or close enough to kill you some state politicians. but dont bring it near me.

@Capt Howdy: Jesus fuckbuckets. Really? After all, Tuscon dude was clearly a law-abiding citizen. It’s already illegal to kill people. Also: does this mean the Secret Service is out of a job?

In other news, SFL, thank you. I had hopped over to ICHC for a bit, but it’s good to see the ‘Eck bunnies as well.

I had a friend-of-a-friend on FB comment that “there’s no law requiring you to pay taxes, you know…” and that was the last little straw. No more bullshit today, please and thank you.

Go for it. He hardly stinques, methinks, but these days I think I’d rather gawk at his hirsute manliness than hear any more about Palin or politicians or shooters or guns. I’m with Jamie, this is all officially too much.

@IanJ: See the Onion’s (too soon?) story, Shooting Suspect Released After Not Breaking Any Arizona Laws, which concludes, “LaWall told reporters that the only way her state would have any legal recourse in the brutal slayings would be if Loughner were Mexican.”

@IanJ:
I was wondering how exactly you are supposed to know you are within 1000 feet of a government official.

the smell?

@Capt Howdy: I’m biding my time on bringing up Peter King’s IRA history. The only good terrorist is an Irish terrorist.

@Capt Howdy:

Somebody must have told Rep. King that they let Mooslems buy guns too.

@al2o3cr: Seriously, who wrotecopyedited that page? It’s packed full of odd typos, and makes me question its validity. Good message, poorly presented. Moter home? Cartrwight? Attact our city?

@IanJ: “Dick Heller, the plaintiff from the case of District of Columbia v. Heller, provides testimony to the D.C. Council regarding firearm-related legislation. Heller’s written, submitted testimony states” …

The typos are that of the plaintiff. Sad but apparently true.

@redmanlaw: I see those all the time, advertised toward golf players. I guess it makes sense, just another type of ballistics.
