Awesome. I had a ’65 Malibu SS, 327, 4-barrel. Sounded great when I wound it out . . .

@Dodgerblue: What would you give to have it back? Sadly, my dad didn’t do SS Impalas, just the bog standard ones.

TJ/. Vegas for my birthday, bitches! It’s all about the scotch and Pai Gow!

@Tommmcatt Be Fat, And That Be That: Don’t stay up too late. You know how you get.

I have an audition tomorrow. My first in 6 years. It seems I don’t have enough humiliation in my life.

@blogenfreude: I donno, it was fun in a straight line but frightening on a winding road.

@Dodgerblue: good in a straight line. and good sitting in the driveway, which is not a bad thing.

@Tommmcatt Be Fat, And That Be That: I’m not going to have to call you ‘sir’ and get pissed on, am I?

Mildest of jiggles in Sandy Eggo. Let’s see whether it rates even a 3.0.

ADD: 3.1, Riverside.

Switching from the final minutes of the Jets “game” to Walking Dead. Not sure I’ll be able to tell the difference.

Tonight, on a very special (new) Bevis and Butt-Head, the boys become drone pilots. Fun fact: I went to law school with Mike Judge’s sister.

. . . an IKEA reference? WTF? “Is that a lesbian or a Mexican?” That’s more like it.

@nojo: My boy Jeemy, a Mexicano photojournalist who ran a Latin American photo agency, comes from Riverside. The border was his back fence. They’d be grilling on a Sunday afternoon and dudes would be hopping over the fence and running like hell. He saved his own life once when he handed over a roll of film to some Moslem gentlemen who were slaying the Hindoo at a temple in India. He knew one of the frames was the next week’s cover of Time. On the other hand, another friend was bored out of his fucking mind as a reporter in Kuwait in the first Gulf War.

. . . ok, now I’m comparing drum sounds between Morbid Angel and Metallica’s much maligned “St Anger” record . . .

@nojo: 3.1? Pfft – my first jet-lagged morning here in NotTibet and I had my morning ablutions interrupted by a 4.9er.

@redmanlaw: I downloaded GarageBand for my iToy yesterday. Meh.

@Dodgerblue: We’ve used Garage Band to make “beats” as the kids call backing tracks these days, as well as incidental music for school video projects. Son of RML was playing me some semi-underground rap one time and this tune started with a canned sound file from Garage Band. It was kind of cool to know that big time producers also use stuff that’s available to anyone with a Mac.

@redmanlaw: Silent Creative Partner — who’s a Real Musician (drums, geetar, etc) — likes iPad GarageBand. Unfortunately, I’m the one with the iPad.

@nojo: I like playing my cheapo electric guitar with five strings in some kind of mystery Sonic Youth open tuning through a distortion box turned to 11, although I did set up my drums in the garage last weekend when the weather went to hell. I found a 1970s Neil Young note yesterday. The trick now is to find a couple more and string them together.

@redmanlaw: Call it John Cage and call it a day.

@nojo: Surf-metal country-blues glam rock seems to cover it.

@redmanlaw: It’s too early to think what the hair would look like.
