About the only nice thing I can say about Snuffy Joe Lie is that at least he kept it in his pants…

@ManchuCandidate: Dude. It’s too early in the morning for mindbleach.

Excellent, Nojo! Much said in brief compass.

Compared to the Republican candidate for VP in both 2000 and 2004 I think both of these guys come off as sleazy opportunists, but probably not greedy murderous trolls. Maybe at the core that’s the difference between the movers and shakers of the two parties.

Makes Palin sound more like a Democrat.

Precisely. If I’m a wingnut, I’m not embarrassed by Cheney or Palin. But the party that is more or less supposed to represent my interests repeatedly manages not to.

@ManchuCandidate: He kept it in his pants, but John Edwards didn’t aid and abet the killings of innocent Palestinians.

@blogenfreude:
Like I said, it was the nicest thing I can say about Joe Lie. John Edwards, well, he squandered whatever potential he had. Like many of us males ruining stuff because he was thinking with his dick.

@SanFranLefty:
Sorry. I was kind of hungover. Didn’t go out with friends as they’re all out of town this weekend and instead sipped three fingers of Gibson’s 18 year old whiskey while watching the Jays game on the tube.
