Former Senate Majority Leader Joe Bruno has been sentenced to two years in federal prison.

The judge told Bruno 97 months would have been too long of a sentence and probation would have been too little – that is why he decided on this sentence.

Bruno will not begin serving time until the Supreme Court makes a ruling on the Honest Services Law.

After a ruling is made, Bruno’s sentencing will be reevaluated.

But, um…why? I suppose I could research it myself, but the Feaux News report linked doesn’t even mention it, and I don’t remember this guy’s name…

Sorry bloggie, I started watching the video provided on the link, but a minute or two into it and I still had no idea what the fuck they were talking about so I clicked away to something more entertaining. Directing federal $$ in a certain direction maybe? Isn’t that what those fucks do every day?

Please, enlighten me.

Apparently he was also acting as a “paid consultant” for these firms. So basically, he was convicted of receiving kickbacks from companies for sending Federal business their way.
