If you think about it, she was an early model of the modern celebrity- famous because she was famous. She was an erudite woman, and very pleasant, though.

@Tommmcatt Can’t Believe He Ate The Whole Thing: If anything, she was an early version of brand development. She started out with a newspaper column and then parlayed that into TV appearances. Her pleasant demeanor helped soften the public’s perception of psychoanalysis.
