@Capt Howdy: It’s actually one of those things where the aftermath is proving more interesting than the original story. NPR’s initial response was craven, since they were reacting to the Inevitably Suspiciously Edited Tape, not the full version. They didn’t come out with a take on the raw footage — which still had a missing thirty seconds — until Sunday, I think.

Gotta give O’Keefe credit: No matter how many times he’s shown to be a charlatan, folks keep buying his crap.

And while it took DS9 two or three seasons to get rolling (TNG also required a season to find its legs), it got very interesting once they figured out what they were doing with it.

Even Voyager had its moments. Enterprise we shall pass over in silence.
