I’ve seen that singer perform this on one of those Eric Clapton Crossroad Festival shows on PBS. Whoever shot and directed that piece had a real understanding of how the song was put together.

Went to a pot luck at Son of RML’s new school on Friday. A bunch of kids were jamming on an acoustic guitar and a violin. One kid had a uke and a balalaika. Another group was doing a sing along by the piano in the gym. It’s tough for them to do musical theater at this art school (dance, music, theater, visual arts) because they don’t have their own space and everything thing else in town is expensive and booked anyway.

Chicago steenques – the Documentary Channel had this cool movie about the 80s Chicago punk scene on last night.
