The video — linked from his related December 12 blog post — includes his original footage, as well as clips from GOD TV and CNN. Blumenthal has elected to make the video available for embedding.

Salem-News.com is an alternative-news website based in Salem, Oregon, better known as “We’re still an hour away from Powell’s.” On December 19, 2010, Salem News elected to embed Blumenthal’s Vimeo video in a news story.

Our dear FlyingChainSaw tipped me off to this story a day or so ago, but it’s taken me a while to post something on it because every time I think about it I start wanting to smash objects and curse like Chainsaw.

Tonight’s outrage involves Kelley Williams-Bolar, a single mom of two kids in Akron, Ohio. Kelley, like most parents, wanted her kids to go to the best possible school and do well and succeed in the 21st Century world where the buzzwords involve competing with the Chinese kiddos and information and knowledge.

Kelley lives in a housing project in Akron, which feeds into a shitty school. Her father lives in a nearby school district, where he pays taxes. Kelley, like many other parents who live in shitty school districts (believe me, I know enough teachers in the Bay Area to know this happens like crazy), registered her kids in her dad’s school district, stating that the kids lived with their grandfather.

As entities engaged in the business of serving food to customers, defendants Restaurant Associates, Inc. and Compass Group USA, Inc. have a duty to exercise due care and see that food served to their customers is wholesome and fit for human consumption and may be eaten without causing injury.

Defendants Restaurant Associates and/or Compass Group USA, by and through their employees and/or agents, breached this duty by serving plaintiff food that was unwholesome and unfit for human consumption, in that said food contained dangerous substances, namely an olive pit, that a consumer would not reasonably expect to find in the final product served.

As a direct and proximate result of defendants’ aforesaid negligence, plaintiff has suffered serious and permanent injuries for which he is entitled to recover damages, including but not limited to past and future dental and medical expenses, compensation for pain, suffering and loss of enjoyment and other damages.
