@Capt Howdy: Well, to be clear, there is no right thing — just a menu of bad alternatives. (I came close to using the fall of Saigon as the image for this post.) Personally I think we've long since blown whatever opportunity we had there, our forces are exhausted, and simply leaving is not without consequence. But I'm not claiming a moral high ground. All I'm saying is that whatever Bad Option was chosen, we deserved a good explanation for it. And I didn't hear it.
