Republican Norm Coleman ended a bruising eight-month court fight court today, conceding to Democrat Al Franken after the Minnesota Supreme Court said he was entitled to the office.

Poontang-crazed family-values GOP icon and South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford has been on a pestorking rampage for who knows how long, trashing his wife and kids like the wanton, diabolical Republican reptile he is, no doubt regaling his harem with stories about his wife’s sexual incompetence and praising their expert service in satisfying his most savage, monstrous GOP lusts.

The only reason that Sanford even did his confessional freakout is because The State newspaper editor called his bestest buddy and former chief of staff Tom Davis and told him, hey, we got the dope on the Argentinean poon tango and the phones are ringing off the hook here with tales of a lawless, relentless pestork-o-rama from women from all over – three and counting.

Sandy Eggo may be famous for its epic beach riots, but we were upstaged Friday night by sleepy Cardiff up the road, where it took eight squad cars, a chopper, and more than a few squirts of pepper spray to put down a rockin’ house party. Before the night was over, two of the rowdy celebrants were arrested for talking smack to the cops.

One of them was 60. The other, 62.

For that matter, most of the guests were also sporting AARP memberships. And, well, the neighbors say they didn’t hear a thing until the deputies pulled up. All but one, anyway.

Turns out the party was a fundraiser for a local Democratic congressional candidate, held at the home of the organizer of a local tennis tournament. $50 minimum, valet parking. The local rag calls the play:

Seems we left a few things behind at the old-old joint when we evacuated last year, but we still have a fair claim to Cocktober and Butterstick. And we retain a passing interest in Adam Kokesh, who appears to be running for Congress on the Paultard ticket, right down to the moneybomb.

But what Ralphie is doing in Adam’s Flickr feed is beyond us. Did the parrot die?

Well, it turns out there were mistakes made in the vote tally from Iran, and the Guardian Council is finally ready to admit it. In case you weren’t ready to acknowledge that Iran is fucking absurd, to the point of making Floridian Democracy look like a realization of Utopian ideals, Enduring America, (through Sully), has posted this update from Iran:

A spokesman for the Guardian Council said that President Ahmadinejad’s vote total has been revised upwards after the recount.

Democracy wins again!
