You may all recall that some time ago Carlson was <a href="http://www.portfolio.com/views/blogs/mixed-media/2009/02/26/tucker-carlson-booed-for-calling-times-accurate" rel="nofollow">booed for claiming that the New York Times reporting</a> was generally "accurate." In effect, Carlson was saying that your typical right-wing rag could give two shits about the facts if the facts stand in the way of promoting the party line. And as we all know, that's absolutely right. There really isn't a "conservative" publication either in print or on the web that's anything other than a bald faced propaganda outlet. So my suspicion is that Carlson is trying to create a right-of-center news source that is scrupulous in its reporting and which generally "gets its fact right" in the stories it publishes. Not that I have any faith that Carlson or any other conservative could actually pull this off, mind you. The one thing that Grover Norquist has ever been right about in his life is that liberal reporters are journalists first and liberals second, whereas conservative reporters are conservatives first and journalists second.
