@redmanlaw: Well I never heard of a right-wing jazz musician before. Would seem like a contradiction in terms. I say that having grown up in a jazz home. I'm finding myself wearying of the indignation on political blogs altogether. You have a blog: you have to fill the space. If it's not Brangelina then it's Obama but it amounts to the same thing.

I’m ignorant about the Washington Independent and David Weigel (hope I got all the names right, if I go back to check, I’ll lose not only my train of thought but also what I’ve written so far, as well as emotional impetus). They sound rational, possibly even inclined to try for “fair and balanced,” to a by now remarkable degree. (If you didn’t click on Redmanlaw’s link, you’ll wonder what the hell I’m on about.) I think my question is: Should I bookmark the Washington Independent? so I can check for further signs that there might be some semi-rational non-Democrats? We could sure use ‘em.
