I’ve always thought of Saab as a purveyor of somewhat-overpriced, solidly-built, safe cars.  Their clutches always seemed a little grabby to me.  On the other hand, Saab is smart enough to put the ignition switch on the floor so it won’t turn your knee into hamburger  in a front-end collision. About 10 years ago I almost bought a 9-3 convertible, but settled for an SHO instead.

So the now-bankrupt Saab looks like it’ll be washed away in the Carpocalypse unless Sweden steps in.  GM owns Saab now, but Saab wants to escape that black hole.

WND is still running polls and updates on Barry’s birth certificate. And, flogging an issue that dumbfounded us a couple weeks back, they’re still on the warpath against a federal policy that was dropped a generation ago: the Fairness Doctrine.

Ha ha.  Several Republican Governors are considering turning down the state funding from the stimulus package.   These American heroes don’t want to save their economies because it conflicts with their Conservative/Toddler ideology.  Instead, they are hoping to destroy their already piss poor economies, thus further embittering the voters in these poor, backwards, red-necked wonderlands.  Of course, the creation of more bitters only further helps the Republican Party, because if there’s anything we learned from the last election, it’s that the poor white bitter vote will win the election for the Republicans every time (Whoops Pennsylvania!)
